Itinerary

Day 1: Beito – Mosvatnet – Strøstølane – Island Camp
We meet at Beito Husky Tours for introductions, gear checks, and final preparations. After loading our equipment, we drive 1 hour to the starting point at Mosvatnet Lake.

Once the canoes are packed, we set off on our journey, gliding across the lake toward our first stop—where we’ll enjoy a scenic hike to Strøstølane, a historic summer farm with spectacular views over the mountains.

After returning to the water, we continue paddling to our first remote campsite on a secluded island, where we’ll set up camp, cook dinner over an open fire, and enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars.

Day 2: Canoe-Lining, Storfjorden & Midnight Sun Camping
We continue our journey, paddling into the larger Storfjorden Lake. Today, we’ll put our paddling muscles to the test and experience the unique challenge of canoe-lining or portaging down a small river section connecting the lakes.

Along the way, we may spot wildlife such as eagles, moose, reindeer, or foxes, and for those interested, the lake offers world-class fishing for lake trout.

By evening, we set up our second wilderness camp, where we’ll enjoy dinner by the campfire under the glow of the midnight sun.

Day 3: Final Paddle & Farewell
On the last day, we’ll make the most of the morning, paddling through the peaceful waters and, with a bit of luck, catching some fresh trout for lunch—perhaps even preparing trout tacos for our final meal together!

By early afternoon, we reach our endpoint, pack up the gear, and take a shuttle back to Beito, returning around 3:00 PM.

Important Notes:
