Can you imagine spending half a day, in the snow covered mountains surrounding Beitostølen, with a bunch of happy and hard working huskies in front of your sled? Then the Valdresflye Spring tour is perfect for you.
It's quite the experience being on this high plateau, just us and the dogs. You will feel the magnificence of the mountains at the doorstep of Jotunheimen National Park !
The tour is suitable for most people. Bring all your friends and family. No previous experience is needed! If you don't want to steer your own team you can choose to join as a passenger sitting comfortably on warm reindeer skins in the sled. Let us know beforehand if that's the case, so we can prepare accordingly.
What to bring
DON’T FORGET
Although it gets warmer in spring, Valdres Flye is a high plateau in the mountains. It is a windy place, even very windy. It is important that you dress according to Norwegian weather.
We have some equipment you can borrow, but please check our How to dress guide to make sure you dress accordingly.
Feel free to bring any extra snacks and refreshments.
Who can join
VERY IMPORTANT
Previous experience not needed for joining this tour.
To be able to steer your own sledge, all you need is an average physical condition.
Children are welcome to join this tour, accompanied by an adult. Children under 14 years old will be normally sitting on the sledge. Contact us in forehand before booking children under 6.
Pregnant women cannot participate on any dogsledding tour arranged by Beito Husky Tours.
